SAN FRANCISO (June 09, 2012) – Global musical telethons, website downloads, social media, cell phone apps and traditional media are among the fundraising options in the works through a charitable organization driven to find the first holistic cure for HIV/AIDS.
The Cure AIDS Now Foundation was founded on the belief that global, philanthropic efforts are key to eradicating HIV/AIDS among all populations. Foundation organizers also believe in making donation options accessible and affordable to people of all ages, backgrounds and means.
“We want to send the message that you can help cure AIDS now, whatever your age or circumstances,” said Founder and CEO Brando Palomino Bronzino. “We want everyone, particularly children and youth, to know that yes, we can cure AIDS now.”
Bronzino said efforts to develop a holistic, biopharmaceutical cure for HIV/AIDS will be supported through various global fundraisers, including a musical, celebrity-driven telethon. The telethon will be live streamed and simulcast on network television. Viewers will be able to donate via web-based and cell phone options, as well as download select songs and performances of celebrities and performers.
The CAN Foundation supports HIV/AIDS eradication programs, funds clinical trials for biopharmaceutical trials, and has pledged to award $10 million to the first developer of a holistic, non-toxic cure for HIV/AIDS. The Foundation is also a leader in developing Internet and cellphone technologies that enable access to medial care and information for people affected by HIV/AIDS, particularly in the Third World.
“Our message is simple: Yes we can cure AIDS now,” said Bronzino. “With your help, we will research and develop eradication programs, bring compassion to the world community, and add human value to the lives of adults and children living with HIV/AIDS.”
